Who is
Jim Golden?

Practice:

Jim Golden acts as Negotiation Counsel at the firm of Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson & Feary. He devotes 100% of his practice to helping companies secure prompt, reasonable, humane resolutions in high stakes disputes.

Previously, he served as General Counsel of the Covenant Transportation Group for six years. Before that,  he was a litigator in private practice handling high-stakes cases for many years.

Golden has a presence in academia as well. His work as negotiation counsel is the subject of a case study taught at Harvard Business School, where he speaks perennially, and a Harvard Business Review video. Golden has served as a Visiting Fellow at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, a Senior Fellow at the Consensus Building Institute, and a client supervisor in the Harvard Law School Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program.

Golden’s experience extends to the public sector as well. He has negotiated with senior staff to the President of the United States and the National Security Council and with officials in China and Ukraine.

Jim Golden has spoken in venues that include Harvard Law School, Harvard Business School, Harvard Negotiation Institute, International Institute of Conflict Prevention and Resolution, ATA General Counsel Forum, ABA Transportation Megaconference, CFO Summit XV (where Golden and Alan Greenspan gave the two keynote addresses), and the Harvard Business School Executive Education Strategic Negotiation program.
